Job Summary
Conduct scheduled rounds on critical power equipment including UPS systems, switchgear, panels, PDUs, generators, and battery rooms to record electrical readings, alarms, and abnormalities. Assist with troubleshooting power faults, executing emergency power procedures, and supporting preventive maintenance tasks under approved procedures and qualification limits. Perform weekly data hall inspections, escort vendors during maintenance, and verify work area restoration and documentation updates. Maintain electrical tools, test equipment, and spares while escalating urgent risks through the escalation tree. Must possess a valid driver's license, travel between locations, and hold a valid Guam electrical license for independent work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel between various locations
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Willingness to follow data center security, safety, and access-control policies
Desired Qualifications
- Electrical trade school
- Apprenticeship
- Military technical training
- Equivalent work experience
- 2 or more years of electrical, critical power, facilities maintenance, generator, UPS, switchgear, panel, or related experience
- Data center experience
- Valid Guam electrical license
- Experience with UPS, generators, ATS/STS, switchgear, PDUs, RPPs, batteries, meters, or BMS/EPMS systems
- OSHA training
- NFPA 70E training
- LOTO training
- Electrical safety training
- CPR/first aid training
- Vendor training
- Ability to obtain OSHA, NFPA 70E, LOTO, electrical safety, CPR/first aid, or vendor training
