Job Summary
Facility Director of Nursing role overseeing all nursing operations onsite in Nashville, TN. Leads the delivery of safe, timely, efficient, equitable, client-centered care within a behavioral health/nursing services context. Responsibilities include setting the vision for nursing practice, managing daily nursing operations, developing and implementing nursing services policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with state/federal/local regulations, coordinating staffing and budgeting, supervising a multidisciplinary team, maintaining medication management processes, and collaborating with leadership to drive quality and safety improvements. Requires BSN, current RN license (compact if applicable), CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification, and psychiatric/behavioral health experience; Master’s in psychiatric/mental health nursing preferred. Onsite, with willingness to relocate to Summit facilities; supervision and development of staff, infection control, and preparation for inspections are integral components.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- RN license current in state or compact
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification (training available upon hire)
- One or more years’ psychiatric or behavioral health experience
- Three or more years’ nursing practice experience
- Master’s degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred (not required)
- Experience in leadership, staffing, budgeting, regulatory requirements, and documentation of care
- Ability to collaborate with psychiatrists and behavioral health staff to design treatment plans
- Onsite facility leadership role with willingness to relocate to Summit BHC Facility
