Job Summary
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized environment across the office building, shop floor, and grounds by cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas; operate a riding lawnmower and leaf blower for exterior maintenance; keep warehouse aisles and emergency paths clear of obstructions; and report maintenance issues or hazards to the Plant Manager. Monitor cleaning supply inventory and restock as needed. Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting the production team with periodic deep-cleaning initiatives. This part-time role at Flexible Metal, a Hyspan Company, supports a stable manufacturing environment focused on quality and safety.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to safely operate a lawnmower and leaf blower
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Time management
- Attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemical safety
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and twist
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to operate a lawnmower and leaf blower, including associated vibration and repetitive motion
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and hearing protection, in areas where required
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred
