Job Summary
Perform daily cleaning of production, lab, warehouse, and office areas per Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, including dusting, window cleaning, and fixture polishing. Manage customer requests for cleaning, waste disposal, and miscellaneous facility tasks while accurately signing GMP cleaning records. Replenish dispensers, maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, and lead projects like floor stripping and air diffuser cleaning. Dispose of dust collector waste and report potential hazards to ensure a safe environment. Work standard office hours with alternating shift rotation as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in janitorial services
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to maintain accurate records of activities
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Proficiency with the English language
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time
- Manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of up to 40 pounds
- Visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time
- Use of Personal Protective equipment is required and may include any of the following: safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, respirator
Desired Qualifications
- Previous janitorial experience in a GMP environment, pharmaceutical or food processing environment
