Job Summary
Provide strength-based support to individuals with mental health and substance use issues in residential, school, workplace, and community settings. Focus on promoting recovery, symptom reduction, and increased coping skills while facilitating relationships between clients, families, and local agencies. Minimize the negative effects of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence by providing supportive counseling and assisting clients in developing daily living, socialization, and behavior management skills. Perform case management functions to link and arrange for necessary services and referrals. Work closely with clinical staff to maintain communication, standardize procedures, and expedit service implementation. Complete pre-employment screening including criminal background checks, registry name checks, drug testing, and education verification.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Professional
- Bachelor's degree (in Human Services field) & 2+ years full-time experience with population served
- Bachelor's degree (Not Human Services field) & 4+ years full-time experience with population served
- Master's Degree or Higher & 1+ years full-time experience with population served
- License, Provisional License, Certificate, Registration, Permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession
- Complete criminal background
- Name checked in the registries
- OIG exclusions database check
- Child Abuse Registry check
- Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities check
- Drug testing
- Education verification
- Credentialing based on position requirements
- Proof of employment history or references
- Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle
