Facility Based Crisis Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary
Conduct assessments, crisis intervention, and individual or group therapy for adults, children, and adolescents with intellectual, developmental, mental health, and substance use challenges. Facilitate relationships and serve as a link between the company, parents, guardians, local agencies, and the community while supporting referrals for holistic treatment. Collaborate with clinical staff to maintain communication, standardize procedures, and expedite treatment implementation. Provide therapeutic holds and perform duties requiring squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 15 lbs. Complete pre-employment screening, background checks, and drug testing. Fluent in American Sign Language required for Deaf and Hard of Hearing programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Counseling or a related field
- Valid licensure to provide mental/behavioral healthcare
- LCMHC
- LCSW
- General working knowledge of the human services delivery system
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Ability to perform tasks on the computer including working with Microsoft 360, Excel, Word and other basic programs
- Valid driver's license
- Auto insurance
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 15 lbs
- Must be able to occasionally pull at least 10 lbs
- Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from floor level
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision
- Must be able to talk and hear

- Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities check
- Drug testing
- Education verification
- Credentialing based on position requirements

- Ability to meet the physical requirements of performing therapeutic holds
