Job Summary
Facility Assistant responsible for handling crop inputs and supporting operations in the crop inputs facility. Day-to-day duties include handling, unloading and delivering crop inputs products; assisting in warehouse operations such as sorting seed, stacking chemicals, transferring bulk product into totes; preparing custom application equipment; performing regular facility maintenance and housekeeping; maintaining a safe and compliant work environment; and delivering exceptional customer service. Requires a Class 5 driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, tolerance for dusty/allergen environments, and a flexible schedule in all weather conditions. Employment with Parrish & Heimbecker, a Canadian agri-business, at the Sedgewick, AB location.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or farming
- Experience working in a customer service role is a plus
- Class 5 driver’s license
- Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
- Must be able to work in environments subject to dust and allergens
- Willing to work a flexible schedule in all weather conditions
