Job Summary
Facility and Grounds Technician maintains building and grounds, performs general repairs and installations including plumbing, lighting, painting and carpentry; conducts weekly inspections of eye wash stations and monthly fire extinguishers and emergency lighting; maintains safe, clean work environment; snow/ice removal and emergency exits; overtime and weekends as needed; required bilingual ability (Spanish preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Able to speak, read, and write English, bilingual (Spanish) preferred
- Proficient in plumbing, electrical, painting, assembly and repairs
- Valid state driver’s license
- Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
- 3 – 5 years related building maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and USDA regulations preferred
- Physical Requirements
- Able to lift in excess of 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Able to tolerate extreme temperatures
- Able to operate variety of hand and power tools on a frequent, daily basis
- Able to climb, crouch, kneel and crawl on an occasional basis to service variety of equipment
