Job Summary
Facilities Coordinator will oversee Wasauksing First Nation's buildings and recreational assets, ensuring safety, preventative care, and effective operation. The role includes managing, operating, and organizing facilities, coordinating regular maintenance and upkeep on buildings and vehicles, producing equipment status and inventory reports, and providing leadership and guidance to staff. Responsibilities include communicating equipment issues, arranging outsourcing when needed, and maintaining compliance with policies; the position requires strong problem-solving, time management, multi-tasking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and with staff and community partners. Qualifications include a High School Diploma, a valid Class G driver’s license, a Boaters License, CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain), prior experience with equipment repairs and inventories, and a clear vulnerable sector check, with availability for flexible hours (including evenings and weekends).

- Prior experience in performing equipment repairs and maintaining inventories
- Direct experience working and supporting Indigenous Families, youth, and children
- Vulnerable sector check
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and time management
- Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, community members and various agencies
- Maintain strict confidentiality as per the policies and procedures
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
