Job Summary

Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs on venue facility systems, catering equipment, and structural assets including plumbing, electrical, and drywall. Perform precision lubrication, deconstruct and reinstall equipment components, and rapidly diagnose root causes of breakdowns. Source, order, and install replacement parts while meticulously documenting all work orders and maintaining shop inventory. Coordinate maintenance windows with management to minimize operational disruptions and adapt to event-driven needs in a live venue environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in commercial facility maintenance, industrial mechanics, or a skilled trade (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or commercial kitchen/catering equipment repair)
  • Proven experience working efficiently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with digital tools, including Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or digital work-order platforms, and basic communication tools (Google Workspace or Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, equipment schematics, and technical manuals
  • Mechanically inclined with advanced diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, structural)
  • Ability to work highly autonomously with minimal supervision, while maintaining strong collaborative communication with venue management and event staff
  • Meticulous attention to detail regarding safety protocols (e.g., Lockout/Tagout), inspection logging, and maintaining an organized, safe tool shop
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy machinery/parts (typically up to 50 lbs), climb ladders, and perform under pressure during live event or operational emergencies
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and remain active for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Fully in person position, not remote
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Proof of authorization will be required upon hire
  • Offers of employment may be contingent upon successful completion of job related background checks conducted in compliance with the California Fair Chance Act
  • Nights, weekends, and holidays are required due to industry demands
  • Overtime as scheduled based on event calendar
  • Hourly position with expectation of 40 to 50 hours per week

Desired Qualifications

  • Hospitality or live-venue maintenance experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial catering/kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, or commercial plumbing and electrical systems
  • Universal EPA Certification (for HVAC/Refrigeration)
  • relevant trade school certifications/licenses (Electrical, Plumbing)
