Job Summary
The Facilities Technician is responsible for all maintenance concerns for the stores in their assigned areas, including general maintenance to store locations, minor plumbing, lighting, door hardware, and maintenance of tanning booths and UV free spray booths. The role requires basic understanding of building maintenance systems, ability to manage multiple projects, and the capacity to work independently while communicating with store operations staff and vendors. Travel from home to assigned locations is required, with overtime opportunities and a company car provided. The position involves carpentry tasks (sheetrock repair, painting), and a need for excellent driving record and willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The role is full-time and based in the Rockville, MD area as part of Palm Beach Tan’s multi-unit maintenance team.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years’ preferred experience with maintenance and constructions required (multi-unit experience preferred)
- Basic understanding of building maintenance systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent driving record (driving record check required)
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and some overtime based on business needs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
