Job Summary
Install air, power, and network drops throughout the facility while troubleshooting building equipment and conducting repairs. Manage critical spares and preventative maintenance for equipment, performing basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. Support workplace experience needs for new furniture and decorations, and maintain the manufacturing environment via 5S principles. Build and support testing needs for small-scale experiments, including mechanical assemblies from tabletop units to large steel weldments, and electrical builds from sensor installation to full control panels. Interface with suppliers for building maintenance and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure systems integration. Comply with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements, including ISO, state, and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a technician in a hands-on setting
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems
- Working experience with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
- Working experience with machining and fabrication
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols
- Extensive experience operating a forklift and using hand and power tools
- Startup experience with fast changing priorities and work scope
Desired Qualifications
- lead or supervisory experience
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience setting up a new manufacturing facility, ideally in a startup environment
- Experience owning and mastering machine shop tools (lathe, mill, CNC, drill press, etc.)
- Familiarity with CAD software and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
