Facilities Technician

Job Summary
Inspect utilities, buildings, and grounds; coordinate vendor contracts; monitor repair requests; and perform non-scheduled maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and access control. Conduct site inspections, diagnose problems, and recommend equipment purchases or remodeling projects. Provide vendor quotes for large site projects and manage grounds maintenance as needed. Maintain records and schedules while traveling 50% of the time. Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record required. Intermediate to advanced skills in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) to three (3) years of related experience
- Intermediate to advanced electrical skills
- Intermediate to advanced plumbing skills
- Intermediate to advanced carpentry skills
- Intermediate to advanced facility maintenance skills
- Valid Florida's driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
- Ability to perform moderately physically demanding work
- Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects or materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
