Job Summary
Serve as the first in-house responder for facility, equipment, and utility issues, troubleshooting problems, performing preventive maintenance and calibration, and coordinating repairs with outside service providers. Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory operations by inspecting incoming materials, tracking stock via Warehouse Management System, preparing outgoing shipments, and safely operating material-handling equipment. Complete all work orders and documentation in accordance with SOPs while supporting fire and life-safety systems and hazardous-material handling. Provide after-hours support for urgent facility needs and maintain clean, organized warehouse areas. Stand ready as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in facilities, building maintenance, mechanical trades, or a related field
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, shipping and receiving, or material handling
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Laboratory or cleanroom experience
- Machine shop experience
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, Building Management System, plumbing, compressed air, hydraulic, and fire/life-safety systems
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints
- Experience with CMMS software and basic computer proficiency
- Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. unassisted and stand or walk for extended periods
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid, CPR, and AED training
- Experience with WMS and shipping software
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Previous Emergency Response Team experience
