Job Summary
Facilities Technician II responsible for managing and supporting building and plant operations across labs and manufacturing facilities, including routine inspections, documentation, and on-call emergencies. Core duties include scheduling and overseeing outside service providers for CM/PM tasks; verifying and maintaining PIDs, HVAC, electrical, one-lines, and PFDs; ensuring complete corrective and preventative maintenance; performing emergency troubleshooting on HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and lab/manufacturing equipment (GxP and non-GxP); conducting routine inspections, maintaining SOP/work instruction documentation, and ensuring compliance for audits; responding to alarms and emergencies; collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and R&D to meet facility needs; prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision. Travel to client sites may be required up to 100%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor29s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 2-6 years of Project/Facilities Engineering experience or experience working as a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or Subcontractor
- Facilities background preferred
- Process Equipment experience
- CAPEX experience
- GMP cleanroom experience
- Demonstrated understanding of facility systems, utilities, and equipment
- Adhere to all procedures, safety protocols, PPE, and emergency procedures
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
- Strong collaboration, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Independent, detail-oriented team player with initiative and collaboration
