Job Summary
Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, critical infrastructure, and general site upkeep including plumbing, painting, and lighting replacements. Manage the 24/7 emergency help line on a rotating basis, execute special projects assigned by the Facilities Manager, and escort contractors during repairs. Assist with site visits, arrange service calls, and handle sample transport within the Montreal region. Perform weekly or monthly generator testing where applicable and manage key assignments for employees. Refresh damaged walls and ceilings, replace non-functioning lighting, and support special events setup including catering logistics.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
- Driver's License
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and have a willingness to take the initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA or Industry related certification
- MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals
- Welding knowledge
- Working knowledge and ability to perform basic skills including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, painting, drywall, and welding
- Customer service oriented
- Good communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities
- Ability to work within a team and a sense of organization
- Experienced painter
