Facilities Technician II – 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Maintain and repair facilities equipment including fire detection, boilers, water purification, HVAC, and utility systems. Perform general facility repairs for lighting, doors, and security while writing preventive maintenance job plans and executing small projects independently. Operate plant utility systems such as chillers, compressed air, and clean steam generators, and use Computerized Maintenance Management Software with vendor and contractor support. Execute aseptic behaviors, gowning, and safety procedures in compliance with cGMPs. Available for 24-hour call-in rotation and meet attendance requirements. Located at the Raleigh, NC plant for Indivior, a global pharmaceutical company developing treatments for Opioid Use Disorder.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum three (3) years maintenance experience in facilities, utilities, electrical, HVAC, industrial equipment, or controls
  • Minimum one (1) year of cGMP maintenance experience with broad knowledge of facilities, clean utilities, HVAC, industrial equipment, and controls in a pharmaceutical operation
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and PLC logic
  • Ability to lift 50lb
  • Pass aseptic gowning qualification
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical or controls systems aptitude and knowledge
  • Basic level electrical system knowledge and experience- such as, diagnosing motor or breaker issues, electrical equipment replacement, troubleshooting
  • Ability to apply analytical reasoning and root cause analysis to solve problems (Tier 2, 3)
  • Strong math and science skills and the ability to use a computer
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, interpret and apply technical writing and instructions (Tier 2, 3)
  • Accurate attention to detail, and a strong understanding of pharmaceutical production
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with knowledge of cGMPs, and the ability to follow good documentation practices
  • Ability to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more
  • Capability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks like bending and twisting
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders
  • Work both indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions
