Job Summary
Oversee overnight shift maintenance and repairs for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, and fire protection systems at Home Market Foods. Lead technician projects, perform basic carpentry and painting, and verify proper operation of chillers, boilers, and wastewater systems. Liaise with vendors for scheduled services, support preventive maintenance programs, and provide technical assistance on facilities issues. Assist the Facilities Supervisor with vendor relationships and purchasing best practices while ensuring compliance with cGMP/GMP standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to Five [3-5] years Facilities Specialist experience
- Valid US Driver's License
- Current 2nd class Firemen's license
- Boiler Operator license
- Current level one or higher wastewater certification
- Current ammonia level 2 operator certificate
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
- Knowledge of the use and operation of hand tools, power tools, and auxiliary construction equipment
- Ability to use and interpret construction drawings, including architectural and mechanical details, and construction manuals
- Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations related to LOTO, MSDS, Confined Space and Hot Work
- Experience/certification operating a forklift/manlift
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well in a team setting with other technicians and trades professionals
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Software Suite
- Familiarity with Megamation (CMMS)
- OSHA 10 Certification
