Job Summary
Perform general building and facility maintenance, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment repairs. Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure building systems operate efficiently while monitoring community amenities for cleanliness, safety, and compliance. Troubleshoot issues, complete work orders, assist with grounds maintenance, and set up equipment for community events. Maintain records, inspections, and supply documentation while providing courteous service to residents, vendors, and contractors. Participate in weekend coverage and the Emergency Response Team rotation. This role supports the Lake Oswego community's premier planned community facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Six months or more of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, landscaping, custodial maintenance, property maintenance, or a related trade
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and general repair techniques
- Experience safely operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize work and stay organized while working independently
- Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn maintenance software and technology
- Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
- At least 18 years old
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Weekends required
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, and working at heights
- Comfortable regularly lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working around mechanical equipment, pool chemicals, landscaping equipment, and maintenance tools while following established safety procedures
