Job Summary
Maintenance Technician I under the Facilities Supervisor performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms and buildings, washing windows, mowing and trimming lawns, shoveling snow, and maintaining premises safety; performs maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and masonry; reconfigures and remounts modular offices and space to maximize office efficiency; orders parts and coordinates special projects; requires flexibility in hours and readiness for 24-hour emergency maintenance. Qualifications emphasize knowledge of tools and materials for building repair, safe operation of maintenance equipment, ability to communicate effectively, and maintaining confidentiality and secure access to County facilities. Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license, pass a background check, and be legally eligible to work in the United States. Work is performed in indoor/outdoor environments with variable weather and physical demands; no supervisory responsibilities.
