Job Summary
Facilities Technician I for Clear Creek County responsible for a broad range of skilled and semi-skilled building and grounds maintenance tasks. Core duties include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and offices, cleaning buildings and windows, lawn mowing and landscaping, snow removal, and maintaining safe premises. Maintenance responsibilities cover HVAC systems, minor electrical (fixtures, switches, outlets, ballast), minor plumbing (leaks, drains, toilets), painting, carpentry, masonry, and reconfiguring/remounting modular office spaces. The role requires coordinating supply parts, performing preventive maintenance, and providing 24-hour emergency maintenance support. Must maintain confidentiality for offices with sensitive information, adhere to security protocols, and work under general supervision. The job requires physical endurance, ability to work in varied environments, and availability for irregular hours including emergencies and occasional weekend/holiday work. Valid Colorado driver’s license and ability to pass background checks are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Colorado Driver's License
- Ability to pass background check (criminal and traffic)
- Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls
- Must be able to read and interpret maintenance-related documents and communicate effectively
