Facilities Technician I

Job Summary
Maintain, service, and conduct minor repairs on buildings and equipment while performing semiskilled duties in painting and plumbing. Operate light trucks and power equipment for common area waste removal, floor cleaning, and lighting issues. Assist in preventative maintenance by troubleshooting and repairing production and facilities systems, including fluid control, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC. Develop knowledge of mechanical systems through close supervision while accurately documenting all work completed and related findings. Follow strict safety procedures, including lock out-tag out and confined space protocols, while prioritizing safety in all tasks. Complete work orders with minimal supervision and proactively identify facility issues.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow detailed instructions
- Valid driver's license (as required by site)
- Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools to maintain and repair equipment
- Ability to follow blueprints
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational training or certification in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC
- Forklift or aerial lift certification
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
