Facilities Technician

Job Summary

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, compressed air, and process cooling systems. Monitor equipment for reliable operation, troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic issues, and complete repairs to minimize production downtime. Execute scheduled maintenance activities using the CMMS, document work orders, and support root cause investigations for recurring failures. Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and relocation while coordinating utility connections and fabricating facility fixtures. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and emergency response activities. Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to drive continuous improvement and optimize facility performance.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience maintaining industrial HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, or mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical drawings
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on ladders, lifts, or elevated platforms
  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
  • Must be able to work on special projects or to assist with other work
  • Must be able to work on ladders, lifts, or elevated platforms
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work indoors around manufacturing equipment, machinery, and industrial utilities
  • Must be able to occasionally work outside normal business hours to support emergency repairs or planned maintenance activities

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical school, trade certification, or Associate's degree
  • Experience supporting advanced manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or automation facilities
  • Working knowledge of: Industrial electrical systems (120V–480V)
  • Working knowledge of: HVAC systems
  • Working knowledge of: Compressed air systems
  • Working knowledge of: Vacuum systems
  • Working knowledge of: Process cooling water systems
  • Working knowledge of: Pneumatic systems
  • Forklift, scissor lift, or boom lift certification
  • Welding, fabrication, or machining experience
  • Basic PLC or industrial controls troubleshooting experience
  • Experience working around robotic or automated manufacturing equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
