Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repair on HVAC, electrical, generator, and all facility equipment while navigating the CMMS system. Troubleshoot building infrastructure systems, ensure safety standards compliance, and perform monthly inspections on production equipment and replacement parts. Adhere to LOTO procedures and Red Tag Permit Instructions. Collaborate with building management on facility renovations, report maintenance metrics, and coordinate monthly inspections with department managers. Drive to various locations within the Port and work on-site, including overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must have electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, indoor, and outdoor building repair experience
- Must have a valid driver's license to be able to drive to different locations within the Port
- Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Desired Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in facilities is preferred
- Journeyman Electrical or HVAC license is preferred
