Job Summary
Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and organized environment throughout the Brothers Food Service facility by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, housekeeping, and general facility support activities. Clean and sanitize assigned areas including warehouse spaces, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, loading docks, and exterior grounds using approved products and equipment. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect surfaces while emptying trash and recycling containers. Restock janitorial supplies, organize storage areas, and complete daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning schedules and sanitation checklists. Identify and report facility maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, supply shortages, safety hazards, or sanitation issues to supervision. Safely use janitorial equipment, cleaning chemicals, and required PPE while adhering to OSHA regulations and food safety requirements. Work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse, distribution center, and foodservice environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, reach, twist, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and excellent attendance
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen in accordance with company policy
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship by Brothers Food Service
- Ability to safely operate standard janitorial equipment and use approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday
- Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strict adherence to workplace safety, food safety, sanitation standards, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum one (1) year of janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, sanitation, porter, facilities, or commercial cleaning experience
- Experience working in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, industrial, foodservice, or refrigerated environment
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures, cleaning chemicals, and safe chemical handling practices
- Experience maintaining janitorial supply inventories and cleaning equipment
- Familiarity with OSHA workplace safety standards and food safety sanitation practices
- Experience performing general facility support or minor maintenance tasks
