Job Summary
Ensure all projects are completed efficiently and safely by maintaining and repairing facilities and equipment. Provide scheduled and emergency repairs for HVAC systems, cabinets, partitions, lighting, and plumbing while operating heavy machinery like forklifts and overhead cranes. Visit job sites daily to document quality, safety, and progress, communicating project status and issues to stakeholders. Implement agile project management methodologies and comply with safety regulations to maintain orderly work areas. Work independently in a fast-paced environment, potentially requiring evenings, weekends, and on-call duty to meet critical milestones.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma/GED or trade school equivalent
- 5+ years of facilities experience
- HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing experience preferred
- Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges
- Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high-quality results
- Passion for space and the mission
- Entrepreneurial, growth mindset
- High EQ and ability to collaborate within teams and cross-functionally
- Tech-solutioning in using systems and tools to move smarter and faster
- Proven experience in a hands on/mechanical background
- Computer skills such as Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of technical aspects of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical issues
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, structural, plumbing, and electrical issues
