Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems within guest rooms and hotel facilities. Perform troubleshooting and repairs for mid-level issues, including painting, sheet rock, and furniture assembly, while carrying out preventative maintenance and daily log documentation. Respond quickly to work orders, monitor outside contractor services, and ensure strict compliance with HAZMAT programs and safety standards. Maintain exterior grounds and public access areas while adhering to hotel work order prioritization systems.
Required Qualifications
- Customer service experience
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English
- Prior building maintenance experience
- Knowledge of computers and ability to process work tickets
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions
- Possess strong working knowledge of heating, cooling, and pumping systems
- Possess strong plumbing knowledge
- Must be very well versed in electrical applications and safety
- General maintenance experience with general paint and carpentry
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred
- Mechanical or technical experience in building maintenance is heavily preferred
- Ability to effectively and efficiently lead a team
- Must be able to multi-task with jobs, radio and guest interactions
- Should have a working knowledge of appliances
