Job Summary
Facilities Technician III responsible for maintaining campus structures, equipment, utilities, and other property. Performs skilled maintenance across multiple disciplines (carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, and related crafts) and may operate and maintain heating and air conditioning systems including boilers. Duties include responding to on-call needs, after-hours/night/weekend work, completing work orders, maintaining records and inventories, performing preventive maintenance, supervising student employees, and ensuring safety and environmental compliance. The role requires independent professional judgment in accordance with building codes and university policies, with occasional snow removal and special events support.
Required Qualifications
- A High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
