Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance, minor repairs, and support facilities projects during school holidays. Assist with school function setups, manage traffic control and flagging for campus safety, and transport inventory and supplies using school vehicles. Respond to verbal, written, and software work orders for building and grounds maintenance, escalating unusual safety or quality issues to the Manager. Perform parking lot duties and deliver supplies while maintaining professional standards with staff, students, and vendors. Work on-call on a rotational basis for emergencies. Requires valid Class 5 driver's license, trades training, and ability to lift 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma
- Minimum one year experience using a variety of standard tools for building repairs and maintenance
- Ability to perform all duties in accordance with established safety standards
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficiency with MS Office and Google-suite gmail, calendar, documents, etc.
- Ability to learn new computer systems as operationally required
- Willing to be on call on a rotational basis to respond to the needs of school and / or for emergencies
- Willing to train on traffic management
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract
- English language comprehension level for effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to obtain Criminal Record Check clearance
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada or be in the process of obtaining the appropriate visa(s)
