Job Summary
Oversees the daily operations of assigned facilities functions to ensure a safe, reliable, and well-maintained hospital environment. Provides leadership and direction to facilities staff, coordinates schedules and workload, and supports staff development while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulatory standards. Manages fleet, inventory, and asset management to keep equipment, vehicles, and resources maintained and utilized efficiently. Supports departmental budget planning through oversight of supply and equipment purchasing, service agreements, and monitoring of budget targets; collaborates with leadership and committees to improve operational efficiency, customer service, and continuous improvement across facility operations. Demonstrates ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, interact effectively with diverse people, handle stressful situations, and resolve conflicts. Will adhere to licensing and safety requirements and Benefis Health System policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year facilities supervisor experience
- Third Class Boilers License (within 6 months of hire)
- NFPA Life Safety Code (101) certification (within 6 months of hire)
- Montana DEQ Underground Storage Tank Class A, B & C Operator (within 6 months of hire)
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, medical gas, fire/life safety, patient care equipment, security hardware)
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills.
