Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate assigned property management field operations across Lutheran Life Villages campuses, overseeing daily activities for the Unit Turn Team and Building Engineer. Directly perform general maintenance, repairs, unit turnovers, painting, flooring, and light construction while managing labor, materials, and scheduling for assigned properties. Coordinate cross-campus resources, prioritize maintenance needs, and ensure all work meets safety, quality, and readiness standards. Assist with emergency responses and capital projects as requested, providing hands-on support and technical expertise to reduce reliance on outside contractors.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in maintenance, construction, facilities operations, or a related field
  • demonstrated experience coordinating work
  • demonstrated experience assigning tasks
  • demonstrated experience leading small teams
  • Strong working knowledge of multiple trades, including general maintenance, painting, flooring, basic carpentry, drywall repair, fixture replacement, and light repair or renovation work
  • Demonstrated hands-on skill in multiple trades
  • ability and willingness to personally perform work when needed to support operational needs and reduce outside contractor reliance
  • Ability to coordinate work across multiple campuses
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to use work order systems, basic scheduling tools, email, and standard office technology to assign work, document progress, communicate status, and track completion of assigned tasks
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 100 pounds on a frequent basis
  • regular travel between assigned locations to assess work, coordinate resources, support staff, inspect completed work, and perform hands-on tasks as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Technical training or certifications in maintenance, construction, or related field
