Job Summary
Supervise, mentor, and lead facilities technicians while coordinating work schedules, assignments, and training. Conduct routine inspections, address maintenance needs, and oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and system repairs. Manage preventive maintenance programs, plan improvement projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Implement safety protocols, conduct audits, and coordinate with external contractors while evaluating vendor performance and negotiating contracts. Assist in budget management, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enforce safety standards. Perform general maintenance including paint and carpentry, requiring strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations. Lead a team in a multi-tasking environment involving guest interactions, radio use, and troubleshooting complex facility issues.
Required Qualifications
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or related field
- Proven experience in leadership or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex facility issues
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently lead a team
- Must be able to multi-task with jobs, radio and guest interactions
- Must be able to interpret a variety of instructions
- Possess strong working knowledge of heating, cooling, and pumping systems
- Possess strong plumbing knowledge
- Must be very well versed in electrical applications and safety
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred
- Technical certifications or relevant degrees are a plus
