Job Summary
Perform refrigeration preventive maintenance, repairs, and documentation while coordinating with outside contractors and vendors as needed. Respond to facility-related emergencies and make recommendations for improving service delivery and procedures. Cross-train or mentor department staff as assigned. Requires three or more years of refrigeration experience and CFC certification. Full-time onsite role in Richmond, VA with relocation assistance provided; no sponsorship authorized.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 6 years)
- Three or more years of refrigeration experience
- A chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of building systems including, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and controls
- Knowledge and understanding of computerized maintenance and work order systems
- A strong understanding of security systems
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and balance priorities
- Demonstrated positive attitude and the ability to interact effectively with others
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to communicate with a wide variety of specialized outsourced suppliers and vendors
