Facilities Specialist

Job Summary
Facilities Specialist responsible for maintaining and managing critical facility infrastructure and systems in a GMP-regulated environment. Oversee daily operations, coordinate maintenance activities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring quality and safety standards. Manage vendor relationships, maintain documentation, and drive facility-improvement projects. Ensure optimal performance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and specialized laboratory/production equipment); support emergency response and participate in audit preparation. Strong emphasis on collaboration with diverse teams, regulatory compliance (GMP/GxP), CMMS/AutoCAD proficiency, budget and cost control, and on-call readiness. Must have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent diploma/tertiary education with experience) and be capable of reading technical drawings and navigating regulatory requirements; English required with additional language skills valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of facilities management or engineering experience in regulated environments OR Diploma or tertiary education plus 5 years experience in facilities or engineering related management
- Preferred fields of study: Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
- Technical certifications in building systems, GMP, or facilities management preferred
- Proficiency in CMMS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated project management, stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of building systems including Clean utilities, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Experience with GMP/GxP requirements and quality management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- English proficiency; additional language skills valued
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions
- On-call rotation and flexible hours may be required
