Job Summary
Facilities Specialist responsible for general maintenance, groundskeeping, and care of the Riverside facility and Community Capital residential properties. Duties include routine inspections and preventative maintenance of facility systems (lighting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpet, walls, doors, roofing, parking lots, snow/ice removal, and related equipment), completing work orders promptly, assisting in testing facility systems (fire alarms, door openers, emergency equipment), coordinating with contractors and other staff to address maintenance concerns, and performing after-hours maintenance as scheduled. Requires safe operation of tools and equipment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and adherence to Code of Conduct. On-site Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with on-call as assigned; non-exempt from overtime; compensation $18.85-$26.93 per hour; Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on skilled trade experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, etc.) and building maintenance
- Knowledge of general maintenance, use of tools and small equipment for commercial and residential settings
- Knowledge of construction materials and use for commercial and residential settings
- Ability to routinely lift maintenance equipment and materials
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to abide by MCBDD’s Code of Conduct
- Satisfactory criminal background and abuser registry checks
- Satisfactory pre-employment drug test and physical
- Possess valid State of Ohio driver’s license with less than (5) violations on record
- Knowledge of requirements related to ADA
- Skilled trades certifications preferred
