Job Summary
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air. Maintain plant structures, repair damaged components, and coordinate with contractors for specialized projects. Document all work completed, labor, and parts used while following plant safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures. Respond promptly to facility-related maintenance calls and support emergency response activities. Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to ensure compliance with environmental and OSHA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing facility maintenance
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (basic to intermediate)
- Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems
- Working knowledge of mechanical repair and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on call as required
- PPE required at all times on the production floor
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certification or vocational training
- Automotive preferred
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification
- EPA HVAC certification
- Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing facilities
- Welding, fabrication, or carpentry experience
