Job Summary
Facilities & Set-Up Manager at Rhatigan Student Center (Wichita, KS) overseeing daily event set-up/tear-down, supervising Student Building Managers, coordinating logistics with Event Services, and ensuring smooth operations. Responsible for staff scheduling and training, access control and safety procedures, equipment inventory and basic maintenance, and serving as part of the emergency response team to deliver exceptional event experiences and customer service. Requires strong organizational and leadership skills, communication ability, and experience in facilities/event operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Preferred: Experience in event operations, facilities, or building maintenance
- Familiarity with A/V equipment and event logistics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management abilities, Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, High attention to detail and customer service focus, Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Physical & Work Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak event periods
- Work environment includes moderate to loud noise levels
