Job Summary
Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures and equipment including walls, fencing, playground gear, and flooring. Operate light equipment such as utility vehicles, tractors, and mowers while performing preventative maintenance on tools and machinery. Execute grounds maintenance tasks like trimming trees, mowing, grading fields, and cleaning sand pits. Assist with basic maintenance in classrooms, offices, and parking lots, and prepare paperwork for daily assignments. Requires a valid Arizona Driver's License, high school diploma, and three years of relevant maintenance experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.
- Specialized training and experience related to area of assignment
- Three years of relevant maintenance experience
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Pesticide Applicator's License
- Freon Certification
- Knowledge of procedures, practices, and methods related to area of assignment
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials relevant to area of assignment
- Knowledge of mathematical principles
- Knowledge of safe work practices
- Knowledge of methods and tools used in assigned area of responsibility
- Skill in performing semi-skilled repairs and preventative maintenance
- Skill in using equipment and tools typical in assigned area
- Skill in operating a variety of hand and power tools
- Skill in performing manual labor
- Skill in reading blueprints, schematics, drawings, and/or construction drawings
- Skill in preparing and maintaining a variety of maintenance records
- Skill in performing mathematical calculations, including algebra and geometry
