Job Summary
Direct installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, equipment, and utility systems for a refrigerated warehouse. Establish rapport with management, engineering, and production personnel to identify maintenance requirements. Prepare annual maintenance budgets, analyze variances, and schedule expenditures to achieve financial objectives. Determine work priorities and coordinate preventive maintenance programs by reviewing production and quality control reports. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, PSM requirements, and municipal codes. Select, train, and supervise maintenance team members while enforcing personnel policies and procedures. Troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems and resolve operational problems by conferring with engineering and quality control staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' maintenance experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience scheduling and supervising the work of others
- Prior experience in running a warehouse system, material handling, repair, and building maintenance
- Very familiar with operating and troubleshooting ammonia refrigeration systems
- Computer skills including Excel Spreadsheets and Word
- Must be able to sit, hear, or talk: use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects; and type and manipulate controls
- Must be able to occasionally use distance vision, stand, kneel, or crouch and lift up to 10 lbs
