Job Summary
Facilities Serviceperson and Grounds Maintenance responsibilities include cleaning all areas inside and outside the school, performing custodial tasks to meet standards, sanitizing restrooms, disposing of waste, mowing and hedging, replacing lights, operating cleaning equipment to strip/wax floors, dusting and maintaining furniture, identifying maintenance needs, and adhering to safety and district policies. Requires ability to perform heavy labor (up to 100 lbs occasional), operate custodial equipment, follow English instructions, collaborate with team, and complete Basic Facilities Service training/certification during probation. Bilingual skills and standard high school/GED are preferred. Term of employment aligns with district compensation plan; 261-day calendar; salary range $17.51-$28.58 hourly (minimum $36421 annual, maximum $59446 annual).
Required Qualifications
- Experience in custodial work and related trades (sprinkler repair, lawn maintenance, trimming, fertilizing)
- Ability to complete Basic Facilities Service job-related training program and obtain Basic Facilities Service certification within probationary period
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment (shampoo and scrubbing machines, vacuums, etc.)
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English
- Ability to work well with others
- Computer skills as required for the position
