Job Summary
Maintenance technician responsible for repairing and maintaining buildings, grounds, and equipment. Performs plumbing, heating, water, and sewer system inspections and repairs; electrical maintenance; diagnoses equipment failures; installs control circuits, wiring, and conduit; repairs fabrication and CNC equipment; handles hydraulics and pneumatics; welds; reads plans and specifications; estimates time and materials; follows procedural directions; works in a safe environment. Based at the Knappco facility in Hamilton, OH with onsite work arrangement; requires ability to work emergency and shift hours and apply knowledge of materials and tools for building and mechanical maintenance. Preferred: Lean and OSHA knowledge, problem-solving, leadership/mentoring, strong communication, professional demeanor, and ethical conduct.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required with 24 to 36 months of trade school (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience, including time as a maintenance mechanic/technician in an industrial environment.
- Must be available to work emergency service and shift work as required.
