Job Summary
Direct maintenance personnel to ensure plant systems operate at peak capability while coordinating preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across electrical, mechanical, and utility systems. Develop cost-effective preventative procedures, oversee capital budget items, and analyze downtime reports to drive efficiency and reduce production losses. Supervise staff on performance management and employee development, while leading safety initiatives, training logs, and continuous improvement projects aligned with Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Manage inventory requisitions and vendor relationships to maintain safe, operable equipment conditions. Work flexible schedules including days, afternoons, midnights, and weekends at the Newberry Plant.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 1-5 years of related leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment
- Must be familiar with maintenance management system operations
- Must be able to work flexible schedule to include days, afternoons, midnights, and weekend work
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field is strongly preferred
- Experience implementing and maintaining TPM Systems is strongly preferred
- Understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems including ammonia refrigeration and boiler systems is a plus
- Understanding of direct and overhead cost systems
- Experience using, troubleshooting and programming Allen Bradley PLCs is a plus
