Job Summary
Apply engineering principles to develop solutions for Conventional or Thermal business units. Conduct small facility changes from initial scoping to close-out using the Management of Change Process, including design development, drawing updates, process hazard assessments, and commissioning support. Promote safety awareness during field trips and liaise with Operations and Production teams on reliability-focused improvements. Participate in team meetings to align goals and priorities. This student work term spans 4, 8, or 12 months starting January, May, or September 2027, with a 5-on/2-off schedule. Requires a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license and enrollment in a relevant engineering program.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Engineering or within one year of graduation
- Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Energy disciplines
- Valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or an equivalent out of province license
- Legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
