Job Summary
Facilities Project Manager to oversee planning and execution of small- to medium-scale facility maintenance, repair, and improvement projects at Naval Support Facility Indian Head. Coordinate with facility personnel, engineers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Develop and maintain schedules and budgets using MS Project and Excel; manage contractor activities; ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations; communicate project status to stakeholders; support on-site planning and meetings; review and distribute status updates. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 3+ years of PM experience (federal facilities preferred), knowledge of building systems, and DoD security clearance eligibility; US citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 or more years of project management experience; federal contract, facility design, and construction management experience is preferred
- Experience managing facility maintenance, repair, renovation, or small construction projects
- Knowledge of common building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural)
- Experience coordinating contractors and vendors
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Expertise in advanced Microsoft Project, with the ability to develop and manage complex projects (including scheduling dependencies, resource delegation, critical path analysis, task sheets, and Gantt charts) and troubleshoot existing projects
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred
- Expertise in reviewing technical data packages and engineering drawings is preferred
- Experience supporting government or federal facilities is preferred
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
