Job Summary
Facilities Personnel (Grounds Focused) supports camp facilities, maintenance, and a native plant nursery through routine inspections, lawn care, nursery care, and organizing storage, while adhering to YMCA safety policies. Responsibilities include maintaining buildings and cabins, mowing and trimming, caring for the native plant nursery (planting, watering, propagation), unloading deliveries, conducting safety checks, proper storage of tools and hazardous materials, and assisting with camp-improvement projects; a background in general maintenance or landscaping is preferred and on-site seasonal housing is provided. The role requires independent and collaborative project work, physical outdoor labor, and adherence to child safety training. Seasonal employment from August 1 to November 15, 2026, with a pay rate of $400 per week (approx. $20,800 annualized).”,
Required Qualifications
- Experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of native plants, gardening, or nursery care is a plus
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments
