Job Summary
Perform routine inspections, basic repairs, and safety checks on buildings, cabins, and camp infrastructure. Mow lawns, trim bushes, clear brush, and remove debris regularly while maintaining the native plant nursery through planting, watering, and propagation. Assist with unloading deliveries, organizing storage areas, and supporting camp improvement projects. Ensure tools and hazardous materials are properly stored and labeled in compliance with YMCA policies and safety procedures. Seasonal employment from November 15th, 2026 to May 15th, 2027 at a rate of $400 weekly. On-site housing provided at no cost, including utilities and access to meals.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments
- Compliance with YMCA child safety policies and abuse prevention training
- All candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening, including criminal and sex offender checks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of native plants, gardening, or nursery care is a plus
