Job Summary
Clean and prepare guest cabins for check-ins and group arrivals, performing routine inspections of living spaces and shared facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness. Regularly clean restrooms, showers, and common areas, while assisting with trash collection and disposal throughout the camp. Support maintenance tasks and projects as secondary responsibilities, including basic repairs, grounds upkeep, and organizing storage areas. Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Facilities team while adhering to YMCA policies and child safety procedures. This seasonal role runs from November 15, 2026, to May 15, 2027, with on-site housing provided at no cost.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks as required
- Compliance with YMCA child safety policies and abuse prevention training
- All candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening, including criminal and sex offender checks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with housekeeping, janitorial work, or short-term rental cleaning preferred
- Basic skills in maintenance, landscaping, or general project support are a plus
- Knowledge of cleaning products, safety, and proper storage practices
