Job Summary
Support day-to-day facility operations and maintenance for the St. Paul, MN location by performing building maintenance, repair projects, and upkeep of controlled environmental facilities. Execute assigned duties including basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, and equipment repairs while monitoring building performance systems such as ventilation, HVAC, and cooling towers. Provide technical assistance on maintenance management techniques and assist management with regular maintenance programs and repair projects. Perform assigned duties required for the maintenance and repair of building and/or mechanical systems of the laboratory/office buildings. Work 24 hours per week onsite at the St. Paul location with a minimum age requirement of 55 years.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 year(s) of experience in performing duties as a Facility Operations Specialist
- HS/GED Degree in Industrial Arts, Building/Property Management or Business Administration
- Knowledge of a variety of facilities operation/maintenance activities including grounds maintenance, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance activities
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel
- Minimum Age:55

- Must be able to perform long periods of standing
- Must be able to perform recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, or reaching
- Must be able to walk throughout the buildings and grounds of the facility to conduct inspections and perform maintenance procedures
- Must be able to take special safety precautions, including wearing special protective items of clothing and equipment as required
