Job Summary
Operate, inspect, repair, and maintain power plant equipment, including auxiliary systems, emergency generators, switchgear, cogeneration units, sterilizers, and related process machinery. Perform daily diagnostics on engines, condensers, pumps, compressors, and boilers while troubleshooting electrical systems and executing brazing repairs. Read blueprints and utilize basic computer skills to manage operations. Hold a 500 HP Los Angeles Steam License within one year of hire and possess EPA 608 Certification. This role supports facility reliability at a commercial plant setting.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years in plant operation and equipment repair working within a commercial facility or institution
- Experience working on engines, generators, condensers, pumps, compressors, and boilers
- Basic knowledge of pump function
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair
- Basic knowledge of brazing
- Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of boiler operation
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading
- Basic computer skills
- 500 HP Los Angeles Steam License
- Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job
