Job Summary
Provide on-site after-hours supervision and serve as facility manager during evening and overnight hours. Oversee all program and facility operations, maintain daily logs of activities and incidents, and respond to emergencies by contacting medical, psychiatric, or custody staff as necessary. Ensure resident compliance with program rules, maintain facility cleanliness and order, and participate in daily shift changes by documenting and reviewing facility logs. Answer phones and uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct and confidentiality while embodying WestCare Foundation's mission and vision.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess knowledge of chemical dependency, substance abuse and personality dynamics of the substance abuser
- Basic computer skills
- Good documentation skills
- Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be sensitive to populations served
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR)
- Ability to obtain and maintain clearance from LEIE
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test
- High school diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in signs and symptoms of substance abuse and the recovery process
- Associates Degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field
- Alcohol and Drug Registration and actively pursuing Certification, in good standing by an agency approved and recognized by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS)
